QUESTION POSTED AT 28/03/2020 - 12:41 PM

A farmer has some problems with the quality of his soil. The soil seems to have lost some of the nutrients that help crops grow. Now the farmer is unable to grow crops on his field. What should the farmer do to ensure that the nutrients in the soil are replenished?

Answer:

Plants use soil nutrients in their metabolic processes, but these nutrients are not eternal, so as the plant consumes nutrients from the soil, the stock of these nutrients will decrease, so it is necessary to let the soil "rest" for a while, so you can restore nutrient levels.

One way to do this is to use the agricultural technique called "Landing," which is the method of planting that divides the land into three parts: two cultivated parts and one at rest. The rest part remains without planting for the recovery of its nutrients for about a season. Then there is a relay between the areas.

How did the national grange help farmer in the late 1800s ?

Answer:

Initially, The National Grange was a social and educational movement that fought against the isolation of farmers, but soon began to promote consumer and distribution cooperatives to eliminate intermediaries in the commercialization of agricultural products, although most of these cooperatives failed due to the lack of experience in management, the hostility of the already established cooperatives and the lack of support among the peasants.

At the beginning of the 1870s its affiliation increased because of the agrarian depression that was taking place in the United States, and it was precisely in those years when it participated in politics through the so-called "third parties", with the main objective of ensuring that the States, especially those in the Midwest, where the organization was most established, will regulate railroad tariffs and grain storage silos.

With the return to prosperity at the end of the 1870s the organization was losing political force and returned to its initial objective: the social and educative improvement of the peasants.

Read the following excerpt from the Civil Rights Act of 1964. No person acting under any color of law may deny the right of any individual to vote in any Federal election because of an error or omission on any record of paper relating to any application, registration, or other act requisite to voting. Which of the following conclusions can be drawn based on this excerpt? A. States were intentionally placing errors on voter registration applications to keep African Americans from voting. B. States were nullifying voter applications due to errors and omissions on the forms. C. Voters did not understand how to accurately fill out voter registration forms. D. Voters were refusing to complete some sections of voter registration forms.

The following conclusion can be drawn based on the excerpt:

A. States were intentionally placing errors on voter registration applications to keep African Americans from voting.

The Civil Rights Act of 1964, is talking about people whose right to vote is being denied. The fact that the act states that no one should be denied the right to vote due to errors or omissions in required records to vote, demonstrates that this was being a common excuse to prevent African Americans from voting. A way to stop states from doing this, was simply to pass an act in which this method was not longer useful to prevent some people from voting.

Write a short paragraph describing the Mongols. Be sure to include information explaining how they lived and why they lived way they did. Please help A.S.A.P!!!! Brainliest to whoever does this!!!!

The Mongols were both ruthless conquerors and progressive rulers. When conquering land, they would burn down and destroy any nation that doesn't submit to Mongolian rule. This caused countless cultures to almost completely disappear from human existence. Although they destroyed many cultures, the lands that did submit lived in relative prosperity. The Mongol empire was religiously tolerant, meaning that people were allowed to practice their native religions. Mongolians also brought the Silk Road back, protecting the trade complex with Mongolian horsemen and allowing the spread of religion and trading goods to reach the point that it once had under the ancient Roman and Han empires.

QUESTION POSTED AT 28/03/2020 - 10:35 AM

Under which presidential administration did the national debt triple, due to a combination of tax cuts and defense spending?

Answer: President Reagan

The national debt rose rapidly during the 1980s. President Reagan followed a combination of lowered tax rates (from 70% to 28% at the top income tax rate) and increased defense spending. At the same time, Democrats blocked cuts to social programs. This led to the tripling of the Gross Federal Debt, from $900 billion to $2.7 trillion. The debt continued to rise during the presidency of George H. W. Bush, but decreased at the end of Bill Clinton's presidency.

CAN SOMEONE PLZ HELP ME!!!!! D: How did human migration most contribute to ethnic diversity in South America today?

The biggest factor is that tons of people migrated to South America from Spain and Portugal--bringing their language, their customs, their culture, etc., with them. They then assimilated into the existing native cultures down there--sometimes peacefully, sometimes through war and domination--which resulted in a huge and very diverse mix of people from many parts of the world. Look up topics like "Spanish migration to South America," "Portuguese migration to South America," as well as "Spanish and Portuguese cultural influence in South America..." Also, remember worldatlas.com that I told you about--look up a few South American countries, and see the history of immigration into those countries. Hope this helps!
