What happens when a parking lot is built in a wetland area

I would say the most reasonable answer is that the soil doesn't support any type of construction very well. The land in a wetlands area is very moist and quite damp, leaving a dangerous outcome for many. It could cause buildings to collapse near it and cars could be destroyed. I wouldn't recommend building a parking lot on a wetland area!

There are several properties of water that make Earth a suitable environment for life, including water's high boiling point and high heat capacity. Which best explains why this characteristic of water is important for marine life? A.) It allows water to remain in its liquid form even at relatively high temperatures. B.) It allows water to vaporize easily, powering the water cycle. C.) It allows water to be denser, making it easy for living organisms to move through. D.) It allows water to resist freezing and thawing cycles.

Answer: D.) It allows water to resist freezing and thawing cycles.

The ability of the water molecule to absorb and retain heat is called as heat capacity of water, because of this property the temperature of water remains the same for long, irrespective of the external environment. It allows water to resist freezing and thawing cycles because water molecules will resist change in it's temperature. This temperature regulation will prevent instant heating and cooling, hence, will provide suitable environment for the survival of marine organisms.

A cell wall is a permeable layer found in plant cells which acts as a membrane through which water molecules can pass through while animal cells do not have cell walls.. they just have a cell membrane which is selectively permeable to some chemicals or substances.. water does not move from the region of higher to lower concentration in animal cells

In short, plant cells have cell walls that allow osmosis while animal cells do not have cell walls for osmosis to take place

hope it helps you :)
