I really need help please thank you so much Your teacher needs help! Before beginning the lessons on the U.S. Constitution, he asked his students to write essays on what they already knew. Now he has to correct those essays. Read the first essay and write a corrected version. The first two statements are correct. Fix the rest. You may list the corrections as bullet points. Then write a summary sentence about the Constitution. The U.S. Constitution was adopted on September 17, 1787 by the Constitutional Convention meeting in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After ratification by 11 states (only 9 were required), the new United States government began operation in March of 1789. The Constitution establishes five branches of government that include the Congress, the president, the courts, the military, and the postal service. The Congress has two parts: a House of Senators and the Representatives. Each calls for two members and two alternates from each state. The president is responsible for introducing and passing all new laws, but the representatives can veto them. The highest court is called the Court of Special Appeals. The judges serve 10-year terms and are elected. Unlike the judges, the president is appointed by the Congress. The Constitution can be changed by a process called altering it. The first ten alterations to the Constitution are known together as the States’ Rights Acts. Alterations to the Constitution must be approved by half the states. Each branch of the government operates independently of the other. There is no system for separation of powers, which makes the government free of any checks and balances. Judicial review of whether laws are constitutional is possible only when the president asks for it.

How are enumerated powers, reserved, powers and concurrent powers similar to and different from another

Delegated (or enumerated) powers are those powers specifically granted to the federal government by the United States Constitution.

Reserved powers are powers not specifically granted to the federal government, and thus reserved for the states.

Concurrent powers are powers where both the federal and state government will have involvement.

Some examples:

Delegated (or enumerated) powers include such things as the power to coin/print money, the power to establish and impose tariffs, and the power to regulated trade with foreign nations and trade/commerce between states.

Reserved powers include such things as educational systems (schools) and curriculum taught, regulation of industry and trade within a state, and punishments for crimes under state law.  (Note, for instance, that some states have a death penalty for those convicted of murder, and other states do not have a death penalty.)

Concurrent powers include things that both the federal government and state governments do in their own respective domains.  One examples would be establishing courts and prison systems (for state cases and federal cases).  Another example would be taxation -- both the federal government and state governments have authority to assess taxes.  Another would be holding elections -- national elections under federal supervision, other elections on the state level under state supervision.

Identify the artistic style being described. Although the artists emphasized light and used short brushstrokes, they wanted to show powerful emotions in their artwork.

Answer:

Post-impressionism

Explanation:

The post-Impressionism was an art movement that, following the Impressionism, focused on showing the subjective vision of the artist instead of using idealized and symmetrical forms, while using short brushstrokes and light and vivid palettes in the canvas. The main difference between these two movements is that the Post-impressionism artists sought to convey in their artwork their own personal memories, emotions, and thoughts: looking at an artist's canvas was equal to look at the artist soul and mind in a deeper level. The Impressionism, on the other hand, focused on showing the outside world of the artist, the passage of time, the weather, the environment.

"Security and stability cannot be maintained through a confederation of individual, sovereign states." Which of the following best describes this quote? It represents the perspective of a Federalist, arguing for a strong centralized government. It represents the perspective of a Federalist, arguing for a weak centralized government. It represents the perspective of an Anti-Federalist, arguing for a strong central government. It represents the perspective of an Anti-Federalist, arguing for a weak central government.

Answer: It represents the perspective of a Federalist, arguing for a strong centralized government.

The quote argues that a confederation in which states enjoy a high degree of autonomy (such as the U.S. shortly after the Revolutionary War) cannot ensure security and stability. This is consistent with the views of the Federalist Party. The Federalists believed that in order to ensure safety, continuity and cooperation, a strong central government was necessary. Moreover, in order for this to work, the individual states would have to give up a significant degree of autonomy.

U.S. spy plane took this aerial photograph on November 5, 1962 following discussions between the U.S. and the Soviet Union: A black and white photograph taken from a high altitude plane shows a dock with two ships. A series of shapes visible on land and on the dock are labeled. The labels read as follows: Prob IRBM propellant trailers, 2 missile transporters, 6 missile transporters, 3 missile transporters, oxidizer trailer, and erector. 2012 Associated Press Which caption would be appropriate to describe what is seen in the photograph? Soviets unload missiles for sites in Cuba. United States unloads missiles for sites in Florida. Soviets fulfill agreement to remove missiles. United States blockade fails to stop Soviet ships.

The caption that would be appropiate to describe what is seen in the photograph is: Soviets fulfill agreement to remove missiles.

As the photograph was taken on November 5, 1962, it corresponds with the days in which the Soviet Union dismantled and sent back the missiles it had in Cuba, which originated the Cuban Missile Crisis.

The Missile Crisis in Cuba was a conflict between the United States, the Soviet Union and Cuba in October 1962, generated as a result of the discovery by the United States of Soviet bases of medium-range nuclear missiles in Cuban territory.

The crisis covered the period between the discovery of the Soviet medium-range ballistic missile R-12 and R-14 (October 15, 1962) until the announcement of its dismantling and transfer back to the Soviet Union (October 28, 1962).

QUESTION POSTED AT 27/03/2020 - 11:54 PM

Which two of the following were main causes of Arab-Israeli conflicts in the twentieth century A.the division of Palestine into separate Jewish and Arab states B. The ottoman empires entry into World War I C. Egypts nationalization of the Suez Canal D. Yasser Arafat's rise to power in the PLO E. US support for Israels military

Two main causes of Arab Israel conflicts in the twentieth century were:

a) the division of Palestine into separate Jewish and Arab states.

This general statement is quite known, as all three monotheistic religions claim ownership of the Holy Land.
We can generally say that after the Crusades, Christians remained out of the conflict due to the massive losses they faced when they had tried to invade and conquer it (when Salah Al deen was at power, before the rise of the Ottoman empire).

I am not sure about this one, but I assume the best answer would be D)
US support for Israels military

It's a generally known fact that the US is a close ally of Israel, and this is mainly why there are immense issues and conflicts between the two religions whom are living in the same territory/land.

Generally, this topic tends to be those ones that kind of get biased responses (you know, due to people taking sides). I tried making this response as non-biased as possible, filtering it from opinion and such.

Hope this helps. Comment if you need assistance. Glad to assist! :)

After the Civil War ended, how was the North affected economically? A.) The agricultural economy suffered and declined. B.) Industry thrived and the economy soon recovered. C.) The rise in inflation bankrupted many businesses. D.) Economic uncertainty caused businesses to fail.

The correct answer is letter B. After the Civil War ended, the industry of the North thrived and the economy was recovered quickly. It had a direct opposite kind of economy with the South because it was where 90% of the nation's manufacturing output came from. The North area produced cotton, woolen textiles, leather goods, pig iron, among others, at greater rates and speed compared to the South. The South experienced a downfall in its economy because of the massive destruction that happened during the war and the costs that are involved in rebuilding such infrastructures took a toll in the their economy.
