P=presne amount=5000

A=furutre amount which you want to be 5304.50

solve for r

5304.50=5000(1+r)^2

divide both sides by 5000

1.0609=(1+r)^2

sqrt both sides (remember to get positive and negative roots)

+/-1.03=1+r

minus 1 both sides

+/-1.03-1=r

+1.03-1=r=0.03=3%

-1.03-1=r=-2.03=false, no negative percents

Ok, so what we want to do here is first remove the repeating decimal.

x=2.16 repeating

10x=21.6 repeating

100x=216.6 repeating

Subtract 10x=21.6 repeating from 100x=216.6 repeating. This will get rid of the repeating numbers.

100x=216.6 repeating

-10x=21.6 repeating

__________________

90x=195

Divide both sides by 90.

x=195/90

Now you can simplify that into 13/6.

For a polygon inscribed in a circle, the circle passes through all of the vertices of the polygon. Using this idea, a polyhedron (a 3-D polygon) inscribed in a sphere can be described in a similar way. The sphere also touches all of the vertices of the polyhedron, except this is done in 3 dimensions, not limited to just 2 dimension.

QUESTION POSTED AT 18/01/2020 - 03:55 AM

I made it into an equation (j-0.86)+j=82.78 first u have to find the price of the jacket and the add it in the equation so 82.78-0.82 and what ever u do to one side u do to the other so -0.82+0.82 they which equals 0 and 82.78+0.82=83.64 so now the equation is j + j=83.64, j + j is 2j=83.64 so 83.64 divided by 2 equals 41.82 and 2j divided by 2 equals j so the jacket cost 41.82 but ur looking for the cost of the belt so (41.82-0.86)+41.82=82.78, 41.82-0.86=40.96, so the BELT EQUALS 40.96 and if u add 41.82 to that u will get 82.78
